Fat Farm: Day 1 It has begun.
On my command….unleash hell
It took 2 days of hurry up and wait to get to
my deployed location. I hit the
ground running and started in with the local military crossfit affiliate. I honestly thought they were trying to
kill me. After a quick
introduction and the obligatory “I am new” speech they immediately set me to
task. Below is the workout…each
member of the team completed 25% of the reps. I scaled the box jumps to 20 inches and the weight for the
KB swings and TGs to 25. (Don’t
make fun of me…I almost threw up).
I have very lofty goals for
the 5 months I am gone and I needed to start somewhere. With the addition of crossfit, and
hopefully yoga, I will need to relook at the deployment fitness plan and tweak
accordingly.
I am using a couple iPhone Apps to monitor
overall health status and recovery.
The sleep cycle app I am using is very
unhappy with the sound of the air conditioning unit…I will need to figure out a
fix.
